Lowkey Famous privacy
The short version
Lowkey Famous is a game where everyone except you is an AI character. We keep what the game needs to remember your stories, nothing more. We don't show ads, sell data, or know your real name.
What we keep
- Your account: an anonymous identifier from Sign in with Apple (not your name or email) and your age group (for example 13 to 15), never your birthday.
- Your stories: what you post, comment and message in the game, and what the characters reply and remember, so your stories can continue.
- Worlds you make: your idea and the world built from it, with its pictures. If you share a world in Community, other players can find it and play it. They see the world and its characters, never your name, your posts or your game. You can stop sharing any time.
- Maker name: if you choose one, it's shown as "by @name" on the worlds you share. It's a name you make up; you can change or remove it in Settings.
- Reports: if you report a shared world, we keep which world, why, and anything you add, so we can look into it. The world's maker never sees who reported it.
- How the game is used: when you play and how much (for example "15 actions on day 3"), and what each turn cost to run. Never what you wrote.
- Feedback you choose to send.
- Lowkey Plus: whether you have it and until when, from Apple's purchase record. Payment details stay with Apple.
Your profile picture stays on your phone. It's never uploaded or shown to the AI.
Who processes it
Your account and stories are stored on our server in the EU. To write the characters' replies, the text of the story is sent to OpenAI in the United States, which processes it for us and doesn't use it to train its models. Messages that might mean someone is at risk get a safety check, and the game then points to people who can help.
How long, and deleting it
We keep your data while you have an account. Deleting your account in the app (Settings, Delete my account) removes your account, stories, worlds and feedback. Usage costs are kept only as anonymous totals.
Children
Lowkey Famous is for ages 13 and up. We don't ask for real names, contact details or photos, and the characters never ask you for personal details.
